Stripe
Connect Stripe once and Attributely ingests payments, trials, renewals, refunds, and the full subscription lifecycle — server-side, with zero code.
Stripe is the zero-code revenue source. You connect it on the Setup page under Connect revenue, through Stripe's official OAuth — you approve in Stripe, and payment events start flowing. Live mode only; we don't mix test-mode noise into your numbers.
There is nothing to instrument. No webhook endpoints to create, no metadata to attach to your charges, no checkout changes. We listen; you keep shipping.
What we ingest
| In Stripe | In Attributely |
|---|---|
| First charge of a subscription | A Subscribe conversion, with the amount — forwarded to the ad platforms. |
| Subscription renewal | Recorded with the revenue, flagged as a renewal — never forwarded. Renewals are your money, not the ad's. |
| One-time payment | A Purchase conversion, forwarded. |
| Free trial start ($0 subscription) | A StartTrial conversion, forwarded — the SaaS top-of-funnel signal. |
| Refund | Recorded against the original payment, so reported revenue is net. A full refund retracts the conversion on Google. |
| Lost chargeback | Treated like a full refund. |
| Plan changes, pauses, cancellations | Tracked as MRR movements — expansion, contraction, churn — so campaign reporting reflects what customers became, not just what they first paid. |
How a payment finds its ad
Every Stripe event carries the customer's email. That email was linked to a visitor — and their ad click — when your site called identify at signup. The payment joins that thread the moment it arrives, even if the click happened weeks earlier on a different device than the one that paid.
If a payment arrives for an email we've never seen identified, it's still recorded; it sits unattributed until the identity shows up, and shows as unattributed in reporting rather than being guessed at.
Multiple currencies
Charges are recorded in whatever currency Stripe processed. Your reporting currency is set under Settings, and reporting converts the roughly 30 currencies on the ECB reference list into it — USD, EUR, GBP, INR, JPY, AUD, and the other majors. A conversion in a currency outside that set is recorded and shown as captured-but-unconverted — never zeroed, never dropped.
